Within the field of adult education you are able to develop and evaluate challenging educational and conceptual tasks. You can lead an organizational unit or area. Your main tasks should include planning, organization, development, quality management, marketing, and acquisition as well as personnel management. | People in management positions within the area of in-company as well as external further education, department chiefs of education providers or agencies and managers of businesses in adult education. | A minimum of 4 years of practical experience in the field of adult education totalling at least 1’500 hours as well as 500 hours holding a management position. |
Higher Professional Examination (HFP)
If you are holding a Federal Certificate for Adult Trainers (level 2), a “Professional Master in Adult Education” or an “Advanced Federal Diploma in Company Training”, according to P. 3:31, you can qualify for admittance to the Higher Professional Examination after completing an additional 6 modules. After submitting a dissertation and successful completion of oral examinations (full day), you can obtain the title "Advanced Federal Diploma in Training Management and Human Resources Management".
All modular degrees can be achieved both through training at a recognized educational institution or on the basis of equivalence assesment procedure (EAP).
Outside of the modular system the Professional Master in Adult Education is being offered within the German speaking parts of Switzerland, corresponding to level 3 of the Swiss training system (www.aeb.ch information, www.self.ch).
In Suisse Romande, the University of Geneva (FPSE Faculté de psychologie et sciences de l'éducation) offers two different degrees in adult education:
