EU Programm (LLP)
Since 2011 Switzerland is a full partner in the European education programs «Lifelong Learning Program LLP» and «Youth in Action.» The State Secretariat for Education and Research (SBF) has withdrawn from EU programs. Since October 2010, the ch foundation has taken over as a national agency for Swiss participation in EU education programs.
Individual projects from the LLP Programme are:
- Comenius (School Education)
- ERASMUS (higher education)
- LEONARDO DA VINCI (vocational training)
- Grundtvig (adult education)
Educational institutions and individuals are now able to participate directly and use the international exchange programs. With the change of Switzerland from silent to full partner the application process has also changed. Project proposals are submitted to the National Agency and some projects proposals to Brussels directly. The website www.go-ch.ch provides information on the various programs. The eligibility period for the current LLP program goes from 2007 to 2013. During this time, the EU supports projects and activities with a budget of almost 7 billion Euros.
The ch foundation and SVEB share a well-established network. SVEB brings with it many years of European experience and its expertise. It advises the foundation on questions relating to European educational programs. The main focus is on the Grundtvig program.
SVEB regularly organizes informative events and workshops on new funding opportunities and offers guidance and decision making support with regard to which of the EU project aims are suitable. In addition, challenges, necessary competences as well as questions on resources in dealing with European projects are being addressed. Workshops offer help on the application process for EU- projects. Events are listed on www.alice.ch/de/sveb/tagungen/.
